How Scoring Works

Each affix on your item is scored against its maximum possible roll, then weighted by importance for each use case. A 10% FCR ring scores high for Caster PvM (where FCR is critical) but contributes nothing to Melee PvM scoring.

The tool evaluates your item across multiple use cases simultaneously:

Caster PvM — FCR, life, resistances, mana
Melee PvM — Life/mana leech, life, attack rating, strength
Magic Find — MF, FCR, life, resistances
PvP Caster — FCR, life, resistances, strength, dexterity
PvP Melee — Life, leech, strength, dexterity, resistances
LLD (Level 30) — Life, stats, attack rating, resistances

Your item's best score determines the overall verdict — from GG (90+) to Charsi Food (under 20).

What Makes a GG Rare?

A truly GG rare needs the right combination of affixes, not just high rolls. A ring with perfect 30 fire resistance and nothing else is still charsi food. But a ring with 10 FCR, 20 life, 8 all res, and 20 MF? That's a keeper even though no single roll is perfect.

Key principles:

FCR rings and amulets — 10% FCR on rings, 20% on amulets. These are gating stats that unlock breakpoints.
Tri-res boots — Fire + Cold + Lightning resistance + FRW is the gold standard.
+2 skills amulets — +2 class skills is the mandatory prefix. Everything after that determines the price.
2/20 circlets — +2 skills, 20% FCR. Add sockets and you're looking at multiple high runes.

Scoring 10 item types: Rings, Amulets, Circlets, Gloves, Boots, Belts, Charms (small/large/grand), Jewels, Weapons, and Class-Specific Items (sorc orbs, necro heads, druid pelts, barb helms, assassin claws, amazon javelins). Each item type has its own affix pool with accurate D2R maximum values.
