Fastest attack speed of elite polearms (WSM −10). Merc hits faster = more Conviction uptime. Eth Thresher is the gold standard (+50% ED on mercs, indestructible).

Budget: Cryptic Axe — Slightly slower but easier to find with 4 sockets at ilvl 26–40. Marginal DPS difference.

Where it drops Hell difficulty — elite polearms drop Hell Act 1+. Eth bases are rare but worth the hunt.
