The Paladin returns in Lord of Hatred as an S-tier class with the deepest build diversity at launch — entering the expansion with a wider spread of competitive builds than ever before. 16 distinct build archetypes are tracked. This page documents every build name and our launch-week ranking based on first-day testing and mechanic analysis.
Day-1 ranking caveat. Most Paladin builds are still being refined in the community. The S/A/B/C ranking below reflects DiabloBytes\' analysis based on mechanics and launch-week testing. Expect movement as ladder data emerges over the first 2-3 weeks.
Wing Strikes remains firmly in S-tier despite a notable amulet nerf. Strong barrier synergies, weapon-DPS scaling, and natural pairing with Arbiter of Justice. Best at Tower pushing, Echoing Hatred, and high Pit clears.
Speedfarming-leaning aura build — great overall thanks to its speedfarming capabilities and ease of play.
Arbiter of Justice
Pairs into Wing Strikes and stands alone as a top endgame option. Strong baseline for new Paladin players.
Shield of Retribution Paladin
Tankier defensive build. Build refinement still in progress.
Blessed Hammer Paladin
D2-feel revival of the iconic Paladin skill. Magic damage, great for Echoing Hatred.
Fist of the Heavens Paladin
Lightning + holy hybrid. Untested early but mechanics suggest A-tier potential.
Brandish Paladin
Mid-range melee setup. Low data confidence at launch.
