Auradin Paladin — Holy Light Aura Endgame Build

Updated April 2026 · Season 13: Reckoning / Lord of Hatred

The Auradin returns. Just like the D2 Dream and Dragon Paladins, this build kills not through attacks but by running near monsters and letting Holy Light Aura obliterate them. The whole build revolves around Holy Light Aura, Dawnfire unique gloves, Sundered Night, and the Cathan's Iron Conviction Talisman set. Best speedfarm Paladin in Season 13.

Two-variant build: 2H Speed variant for Torment 4 speedfarming (mobility focus, one-shots most content). Boss/Push variant for Torment 7 bosses and Bloodied Hordes (single-target sustain).

Core Skills

Holy Light Aura

Primary damage source. Dawnfire transforms its passive into Fire damage. Scales linearly with Attack Speed.

Applies Weakened — multiplicative damage layer.

Defiance Aura

Defensive aura, manual Unstoppable activation.

Advance + Rally

Faith generation + speed buff. Mobility tools — keep you in pack range without breaking aura tick rate.

Gear — Uniques & Mythics

FAQ

What is the Auradin?

A Holy Light Aura Paladin that kills via passive aura damage rather than active skill rotations. Inspired by D2 Auradins (Dream/Dragon), it leans on the Dawnfire unique gloves to convert Holy Light into massive fire AoE damage. You walk through packs and aura damage handles the kill.

How do you actually deal damage?

Holy Light Aura is the primary damage source. Dawnfire transforms its passive into Fire damage. Sundered Night casts Consecration beneath you when you cast any Aura Skill and grants 200% Aura Potency while standing in Consecration. Attack Speed scales the build linearly — stack as much as possible.

Speed variant or Boss/Push variant?

The 2H Speed variant is best for Torment 4 farming — highest mobility, still one-shots most content. Switch to the Boss/Push variant for Torment 7 bosses or Bloodied Hordes where you need single-target sustain.

Is the Talisman set worth chasing?

Yes. Cathan's Iron Conviction 5-piece grants 55% Aura Potency and upgrades aura behavior — it is the build-defining Talisman setup. Pair with the Herald of Zakarum unique charm.
