Diablo IV Patch 3.2.1 — The Season of Hell's Legacy Launch Patch

By the DiabloBytes team · 4 min read

Patch 3.2.1 (Build #73552, all platforms) went live on September 15, 2026 alongside Season 15 — Season of Hell's Legacy. Unlike the small 3.1.x fix builds, this is a full season patch: it closes out the 3.2.0 PTR with fixes to the new legacy Uniques, rebalances every class, reworks several Uniques and Aspects, and pushes more Mythics and experience into endgame activities.

Patch 3.2.1 at a Glance

  • Build: #73552 (All Platforms) — September 15, 2026
  • Season: launches Season of Hell's Legacy
  • Classes: skill, Legendary Aspect, and Unique item changes for every class — Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Paladin, Rogue, Sorcerer, Spiritborn, and Warlock
  • Loot: all Uniques can drop at level 1 in any Difficulty; higher Mythic drop rates from Lair Bosses and Belial
  • Crafting: Royal and Grand Gems and Ancestral enchants cost far fewer Forgotten Souls

Legacy Unique Fixes from the PTR

The season's new legacy Uniques and Soul Splinters got a round of fixes before launch:

  • In-Geom: cooldown reduction was 12 seconds instead of 15 — fixed.
  • Stone of Jordan now interacts properly with Holy damage effects; Messerschmidt's Reaver had incorrect class restrictions.
  • Leoric's Crown now applies Soul Splinter effects, can be enchanted at the Occultist, and unlocks its transmog on salvage.
  • Henri's Perquisition lost an extra Thorns affix; Nemesis Bracers now spawn elite packs when you interact with a shrine.
  • Soul Splinter fixes for Splinter of the Mother, Splinter of Lies, and Splinter of Pain.

Unique Items & Aspects

  • Banished Lord's Talisman: consuming Overpower now increases your Critical Strike damage by 130-150%[x] for 8 seconds. It is no longer dropped for or usable by Paladin, Spiritborn, or Warlock.
  • Tibault's Will: Resource Regeneration reduced from 50% to 25%.
  • Melted Heart of Selig: Primary Resource increase cut from 102-154% to 58%-77%.
  • Azurewrath: no longer Explodes enemies — it only damages the frozen target, with damage raised from 100-120% to 120-150%.
  • Razorplate: chance for Thorns to deal increased damage raised from 10% to 30%.
  • Aspect of Heavenly Strength: damage reduction reduced from 30-40% to 20-30%; now available to Spiritborn.
  • Legendary Item drop rates increased in Torment I through Torment V (Torment VI and above unchanged).

More Uniques can now be crafted into Unique Charms — existing ones such as Eye of Baal, The Mortacrux, and Vox Omnium, plus the new Arioc's Needle, Henri's Perquisition, In-Geom, Nemesis Bracers, Stone of Jordan, and The Furnace.

Mythic Drops

  • All Unique items can now drop at level 1, in any Difficulty.
  • Mythics from Initiate and Greater Lair Bosses and Belial's Hoard now come from that boss's own Unique pool (generic random loot can still roll others).
  • Initiate Lair Bosses now match the Greater Lair Boss Mythic drop rate; Greater Lair Bosses and Belial got slight increases.
  • Echo of Mephisto has better overall loot quality, including a guaranteed Mythic drop.

Resistances & Crafting

  • Resistances: Single Resistance affixes are significantly stronger — now 7 times the value of All Resistance affixes.
  • Jeweler: Royal Gems cost 10 Forgotten Souls (was 30); Grand Gems cost 50 (was 300).
  • Occultist: enchanting Ancestral Items costs 10 Forgotten Souls (was 25); a random Magic Tribute costs 100 Sigil Powder (was 200); an Infernal Horde Compass costs 500 Sigil Powder (was 666).
  • Horadric Cube: material drop rates adjusted — Coarse Primordial Dust becomes less common as difficulty increases, while Refined, Volatile, Pure, Enhanced, and Attuned become more common.

Endgame XP & Rewards

  • The Pit: more Bonus Experience from higher Pit Tiers — Pit Tier 150 goes from 1800% to 2700%. Experience from Progress Orbs doubles while the Choron's Soul Pit node is active.
  • War Plans: Experience rewards increased and scale heavily with Torment; any War Plans node in Torment X and above now awards 4 Experience Orbs (was 2).
  • Kurast Undercity: Tribute of Refinement and Greater Tribute of Refinement now include Forgotten Souls; the Jade Epiphany node spawns twice the Experience Orbs.
  • Monsters: Elites in Torment X and above drop significantly more Gem Fragments and are much more likely to drop a random Royal Gem.
